Freya Guest is an artist and illustrator living in the Swansea Valley, Wales, having recently moved from London, where she studied on the Turps Painting Programme (2016-18) and at Wimbledon College of Art (2009-12). Freya tutors on the Turps Correspondence Course, and has exhibited widely across the UK, including shows at Hastings Contemporary (2020), and Flowers Gallery (2014 & 2018) and is the recipient of prizes such as Barbican Open First Prize, awarded in 2012.

Having predominately worked as an artist, Freya is currently training as an illustrator, focusing on botanical drawings and children’s books. She is using her experience as an artist and a mother to inform her illustrations, and is currently developing a series of books aimed at parents of young children who are learning Welsh.
