Paintings

2020 - 2021

Produced predominately during Covid-19 lockdown, these paintings depict everyday items as a way of exploring topics beyond the initial subject matter. I’m interested in the human experience of feeling connected to inanimate objects, and how this relates to a modern experience of loneliness and alienation. Despite being focussed on hand-held physical objects, the paintings have a feeling of being extra-terrestrial, and have an uncanny sense that they are not quite of this world
