2017 - 2019

These small paintings were produced using found imagery and collage, mounted to board and painted over. I was enjoying considering the place of imagery within my work, having predominately made abstract paintings up to this point. Much of the imagery came from books found in charity shops, and I was interested in how a change of context, be that through time, or a different observer, could shift the reading of the images.
